Course Overview

Through this 2-day course, managers, supervisors and experienced scaffolding professionals acquire the necessary proficiency to progress and boost their career to the next level.

Course Methodology

This course is designed to provide you with all the necessary expertise and knowledge that an advanced scaffolding inspection professional should have. You will gain a deeper understanding of all the applicable health and safety regulations when it comes to scaffolding structure inspection through a classroom-like teaching experience.

The course’s duration is two days and consists of two parts: a presentation by a highly trained tutor and practical exercises to apply the theory.

Upon successful completion of the course, you have to undergo both a practical and a written exam to fully assess what you’ve learnt.

Do I Get a Certificate?

After successfully passing the exam, you are eligible to apply for the CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspection Card as long as you meet the additional requirements.

What are the Requirements for this Course?

You can’t enroll in this course unless you have your CISRS Inspection Card (or previous equivalent) or a CISRS Scaffolder Card for at least two years, or hold a CISRS Advanced Scaffolder Card.

Furthermore you are required to have passed the CITB HS&E test in the period of the last 2 years, or as an alternative, have one of the following certifications:

  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • NEBOSH certificate (within the last 2 years)
  • Offshore Survival certificate
  • FAS Safe Pass
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (within the last 2 years)

A good understanding of spoken and written English is also necessary.
