CISRS Part 1

Course Assessment

This course will run over a period of 10 days, with computer based tuition, classroom based theory and practical tasks, to give the trainee a broad synopsis of basic scaffolding skills. Your final assessment grading will be established using both your group or class involvement and contribution and also your test results.

The Qualification / Certification

  • CISRS Scaffolding Part 1 Certificate (lifetime validity)

Course Entry Requirements

As from September 1st, 2015, anyone who wishes to attend this training course for CISRS Part 1 Scaffolding Training must have held for a minimum period of at least 6 months, either a Labourer card or a valid CISRS Trainee Scaffolder card.

You must also be:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English is a requirement
  • Able to work at heights

Course Content
  • Compliance with all safety regulations and best procedures, including observance of SG4 policy.
  • Understanding of basic scaffolding drawings and plans
  • Understanding of materials necessary for all basic scaffold categories, such as putlog with returns and independent types, birdcage scaffolds in tube and fitting, towers and other branded scaffold structures as applicable.
  • The ability to amend an existing scaffold
  • Ensure that you can lay out the materials, set out the scaffolds and remedy any obstacles to enable you to erect the scaffold in a safe manner.
  • Have a basic knowledge and understanding of tie testing requirements.
