The aim of the course
Our course covers one of the important aspects within the construction industry; site safety awareness. Those who take the course will be taught how to establish safe working environments for on-site workers.
The course lasts for 5 days and gives you the chance of learning how to both safely on-site and confidently manage others to ensure they do the same. Once you have completed the course you will have all the skills and knowledge in order to ensure that any site your team works in is safe for everyone.
How the course is taught and assessed
An experienced professional from within the construction industry will be your tutor so you know you are in capable hands. Your assessment will be based on both the contributions you make to class discussions and your input in group tasks.
Your performance as an individual and as a member of a group will also be assessed. At the end of the course there is a test offering multiple choice answers to gauge how well you have learn the main components of the course.
The qualification you will receive
Upon the successful completion of the course you will be awarded the CITB Site Safety Plus certificate. This remains valid for five years and before this time has elapsed you will need to complete the two day SMSTS refresher course to renew your certificate.
Who is this course open to?
This course is particularly suitable for supervisors and project managers as well as those who are currently training to take on these roles.
