The CISRS One Day training course is now a prerequisite for all new trainee scaffolders as well as for experienced CISRS Scaffolding Labourers who need to renew an out of date card. Having completed the course, all participants will be ready to work on-site, with basic knowledge of key industry practices and important health and safety codes.
You will be taught by an industry expert in a classroom-based environment. There will be a mix of individual study and group work, and the final assessment will be based on the scores from both the group activities and a multiple choice exam.
Successful completion of the course will mean that you will be able to apply for a CISRS Labourer Card, or if you are already a practicing scaffolder, renew an existing card. In order to do this, you will be given a certificate to confirm your attendance on the course, which you need to submit within 6 months of the course date along with your CITB HS&E test certificate. Once issued, the Labourer Card is valid for 5 years.
Once you’ve completed the course, you will be ready to apply for your CISRS Scaffolding Labourer’s Card. Click on the link to find out more information about each card type. You will also be able to participate in the CISRS Part 1 and Part 2 training courses, following which you can apply for your Red (Trainee) CISRS Card.
In order to take part in a course, you must be fluent in both written and spoken English. No prior knowledge or experience of access equipment safety training is required.
