How is the Course Taught and Assessed?

The course is taught through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practice exercises. After the course is completed, there will be a theoretical and a practical assessment of what you’ve learnt.

Who should take this course?

Any individual is eligible to apply for the course whether they have or they have not prior formal training. The course is also aimed at experienced operators who wish to refresh their knowledge. The course offers two types of endorsements that are relevant to different kinds of machinery: A56A: Up to 15 tonnes and A56B: All sizes

What Qualifications Will I Receive?

After the candidates have successfully completed the course, they will be awarded a CITB National Construction College certificate and a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

Entry Requirements

Applicants are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the last two years. A good grasp of spoken and written English is also required.

What Can I Do Next?

After you’ve completed the CPCS A56 Dump Truck Course, you can advance your career by pursuing a Level 2 NVQ/SVQ Assessment and a CPCS Blue Competent Operator card.
