What is the course?

The course ensures that you’ll learn how to comply with the relevant legislation, the Codes of Practice and the industrial requirements.

How is the course taught and assessed?

The course is taught through a combination of classroom-based discussions and practical exercises & tutorials. The duration of the course is four days.

Who should take this course?

The course is specially designed for supervisors and managers who have the task of supervising lifting operations on-site.

What Qualifications Will I Receive?

Upon successful completion of the course, the participating operators will be awarded with a CITV National Construction College certificate and, upon completion of the CPCS Technical Tests, a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

Entry Requirements

The applicants must meet the requirements that are included in the British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. Prior to enrolling in this course, all the applicants will be required to fill a self-profiling form to assess their skill level. Lastly. applicants are required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the last two years.

What Can I Do Next?

All the candidates who successfully complete the course are able to pursue a course for the Level 3 NVQ/SVQ, which in turn leads to a Blue Competent Operator Card.
