IPAF Loading/Unloading (LOAD)

How is the course taught and assessed?

This course is taught by one of our instructors and completed in one day and includes theory alongside practical training. Once training is complete a multi-choice theory test and practical assessment check your competence.

What qualification will I receive?

Everyone who passes the course receives an IPAF certificate. If you hold a valid Powered Access Licence (PAL Card) for operating equipment, the Loading and Unloading (LOAD) category can be incorporated into this.

What can I do next?

On successful completion of our IPAF LOAD course, you can train for certification using more equipment and procedures. We offer certification courses for a wide range of machinery.

Entry requirements

You must meet the following requirements to take this course:

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Good physical fitness, eyesight and hearing
  • Have completed a recognised Operator’s course and hold a valid Operator’s licence or provide written evidence from your employer of competency in plant operation
  • Hold a current driving licence for the type of vehicle to be loaded or provide written evidence from your employer of your familiarisation with the vehicle

This course is unsuitable anyone who has high blood pressure, heart disease, epilepsy, fear of heights or vertigo, balance issues, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence, or any psychiatric illness.
