NEBOSH Nat. Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety

What is the course?

Slightly different when compared to the other health & safety qualifications, is focuses on the various health and safety concerns within the workplace. It is not just fixed totally on a construction-led environment.

How is the course taught and assessed?

The course is covered by the NEBOSH workbooks and there are three for this course.

The course finishes with a written exam which covers the first three of the units. The final unit will be examined by the student having to produce an essay which will test their knowledge of both practical and theory when it comes to health & safety.

What qualification will I receive?

Satisfactory completion of the exam and the assignment will ensure that you receive a National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. This is a valuable qualification as it is equivalent to a degree, hence you will be able to put the letters ‘dipNEBOSH’ after your name.

What can I do next?

Once you have received your diploma, if you wish to progress towards further management level qualifications, there are other course available.

Entry requirements

Because this National Diploma is equivalent to a degree and classed as a Level 6 professional qualification, before enrolling for the course you will need to prove that you have previous practical or study experience. For example, you may already possess the National Certificate or you may be working in a health and safety led environment.
