How is the Course Taught and Assessed?

The course is taught through a combination of classroom theory and practice exercises. At the end of the course there will be a theoretical and a practical assessment of what you’ve learnt.

Who should take this course?

The course is designed for individuals who wish to be able to operate a mobile crane.

What Qualifications Will I Receive?

Upon successful completion of the course, the participating operators will be awarded with a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (after completion of the CPCS Technical Tests).

Entry Requirements

Any applicants must already hold a valid Group C category licence which is required to drive on open road. Applicants are also required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the last two years. A good level in spoken and written English is also required.

What Can I Do Next?

Upon successfully completing the course, all the operators are able to advance their knowledge and take the CPCS Blue Card training, Telescopic Handler, Slinger/Signaller, Crawler Crane, or Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane courses.
